Hosted by USI and Kelly's Choice, The 2nd Annual Women's Event: Inside Outside Beauty is more than a morning of inspiring conversation—it's an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our community. Proceeds from the event benefit Nutrition Education For All (NEFA), a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to nutrition education and resources for children and families in food-insecure and underserved communities.
Through engaging discussions with leaders in fitness, beauty, medicine, and workplace innovation, attendees will explore the connection between nutrition, wellness, confidence, and lifelong health while helping support NEFA's mission to create healthier futures for all.

Amy Ryan is the founder of Amy Ryan Fitness and has spent more than 30 years helping women improve their health, strength, and confidence through fitness and nutrition. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and a Master's Degree in Coaching Pedagogy from SUNY Cortland and is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Certified Nutrition Coach, Certified Health & Wellness Coach, and GGS Certified Menopause Specialist. Amy specializes in helping women over 40 navigate the challenges of midlife by focusing on muscle building, metabolism support, hormone health, and sustainable nutrition habits. Through her online programs, coaching, and educational content, she empowers women to move beyond dieting and embrace strength as the foundation for healthy aging. As a high school physical educator, fitness instructor, wife, mother of five daughters, and grandmother, Amy brings both professional expertise and real-life experience to every woman she serves. Amy's mission is simple: Help women become stronger, leaner, healthier, and more confident for life.

Kelly Springer, RD, CDN
CEO, Kelly's Choice
Kelly Springer, MS, RD, CDN, is a nationally recognized Registered Dietitian, author, and passionate advocate for health equity. With over two decades of experience in clinical nutrition, corporate wellness, and education, Kelly has seen firsthand the life-changing power of nutrition. She founded Nutrition Education for All with a bold mission: to ensure that every child, family, and underserved individual—regardless of income or insurance—has access to evidence-based nutrition education. Kelly’s work has been featured on Good Morning America, Women’s Health, Men’s Health, and dozens of media outlets nationwide. She is the founder of Kelly’s Choice LLC, a nutrition consulting company with a nationwide team of dietitians. Through both of her organizations, she’s helped thousands of people prevent and even reverse chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. Her leadership at Nutrition Education for All is driven by a deep commitment to social justice and a belief that good nutrition should never be a privilege—it’s a right. Whether she's speaking to policymakers, teaching in schools, or guiding families in need, Kelly’s message is clear: nutrition education saves lives.

Ashley Franczak
Practice Leader, USI
Ashley Franczak is the Practice Leader of USI’s Upstate New York Property and Casualty Practice, where she leads a team of risk management consultants and guides clients through insurance analysis, design, marketing, and placement, specializing in casualty and alternative risk financing. With a strategic, consultative approach, she partners with USI advisors and technical resources to help clients understand insurance costs and mitigate losses. Ashley began her insurance career at Liberty Mutual, later joining Marsh and Alera Group, gaining expertise in diverse industries. She holds a bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Alaska, an MBA from Azusa Pacific University, and a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion certificate from Cornell University. An active community member, Ashley is an Adjunct Professor at SUNY Oswego, President of Devin’s Rec Room Board, and volunteers with several local organizations. She also serves as Treasurer and committee member for Big I CNY. Ashley resides in Liverpool, New York, with her husband, a U.S. Army Veteran, and their two children.

Sistina Giordano
Brand Ambassador, Driver's Village
Sistina Giordano hails from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, and has spent much of her life living in and around Upstate New York. A graduate of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications Master’s Program, she began her career in print, covering major stories for the Auburn Citizen and Syracuse.com before taking her talents to television. Sistina is a seasoned communicator, award-winning storyteller, and former television host with more than a decade of experience in media and public engagement. For nearly 10 years, she co-hosted “Bridge Street” on WSYR NewsChannel 9, where she became a trusted voice in Central New York—connecting viewers to the people, stories, and causes that shape their community. Today, Sistina brings that same energy and expertise to her work behind the scenes and in front of the camera—crafting impactful messaging, consulting on content strategy, and championing local initiatives, including her ongoing work with the Skaneateles Lake Association and as the spokesperson for Driver’s Village—one of Central New York’s largest automotive and retail destinations.

Veronica Tearney, CSCS-RSCC, Pn1, USAW
Director, Strength & Conditioning, SU Athletics
As Director of Strength & Conditioning for Spirit & Nutrition at Syracuse University, she is responsible for training the cheer, dance, and mascot squads, overseeing the student-athlete fueling station, and providing nutrition support for all SU athletics Olympic sports teams. As a certified strength coach and personal trainer for over 20 years, Coach V has a wide range of experience in the fitness world ranging from competitive figure athlete to fitness author. A proud alum, Veronica was an All-Big East athlete in the hurdles and long jump as a member of the SU T&F team (95-00). As a wife and mother, she enjoys navigating the demands of a full work schedule while sharing the same training and nutrition principles with her husband and kids as they engage in their own sporting activities.

Alex Canavan
Founder, CNY Women's Network
Alex Canavan is the Founder of CNY Women’s Network, a growing women’s leadership and media platform based in Upstate New York, and the host of the Cultivate with Alex Canavan podcast, featuring entrepreneurs, executives, and changemakers from across the country. Through intentional community-building, experiential marketing, and strategic storytelling, Alex has grown CNYWN into a multi-platform brand that includes large- scale events, a thriving membership community, editorial campaigns, and partnerships with growth-minded brands and organizations. As an entrepreneur with ADHD, fitness has played an integral role in Alex’s leadership journey. She credits movement and consistent training with helping her stay grounded, focused, mentally resilient, and able to perform at a high level while navigating the demands of entrepreneurship. Fitness has become a core part of how she supports both her mental health and overall well-being. Alex strength trains five days a week, runs three days a week, practices hot yoga periodically, and has competed in two HYROX races over the past year, with her third race taking place in Nashville this December. She also integrates wellness into the CNY Women’s Network community by partnering with local boutique fitness studios and wellness brands to host pop-up classes and experiences for members across Central New York.

Hannah Gooderman
Instructor, Vinyasa Yoga
Hannah has been teaching yoga and facilitating movement since 2014 and is trained in several modalities, though her current practice is rooted primarily in vinyasa yoga. She is also a certified Pilates instructor trained through Equinox and Neu Pilates, with a foundation in mat Pilates since 2019. Guided by the six key principles of Pilates, her approach emphasizes mindful movement, functional strength, and a deep connection to the body. Hannah creates intentional, supportive classes that meet clients where they are while encouraging growth and awareness. She lives by her motto- breathe, move, evolve!

Chloe Dresher
Founder, Pilates with Chloe
Pilates with Chloe was founded in 2021 in Skaneateles after Chloe became certified in Mat and Reformer Pilates. A graduate of Fairfield University with a degree in Finance from the Dolan School of Business, Chloe combined her passion for wellness and business to create a welcoming space focused on movement and feeling your best. In 2025, she expanded with a second studio in Fayetteville. Chloe loves helping clients feel stronger, healthier, and more confident through Pilates.

Lisa Wellington
Owner, Symmetry Wellness Club
Lisa Wellington is the owner of Symmetry Wellness Club and a health and wellness professional with more than 15 years of experience in personal training, Pilates, and program design. She holds certifications as an AFAA Personal Trainer, Mobility Training Specialist, Pilates Instructor, Group Fitness Instructor, and Meno‑Fit Instructor. Her work focuses on alignment, posture, corrective exercise, and building sustainable habits that support long‑term wellness. Lisa is dedicated to helping individuals reach their personal best safely, effectively, and with programs tailored to their unique starting point.

Tess MacQueen, MS, PA-C
Dermatology Diplomate Fellow
Tess MacQueen is a board-certified physician associate (PA-C) and co-founder of Pine Point Medical in Lansing, New York. Having completed the SDPA Dermatology Diplomate Fellowship Program, Tess brings advanced expertise in skincare and believes that improving how we look can positively impact how we feel. Through Pine Point Medical, Tess helped bring advanced DEXA body composition screening technology to Upstate New York, offering the only service of its kind in the region. She is passionate about using innovative tools to help patients better understand their health and metabolic wellness. Tess has a strong interest in lifestyle medicine, focusing on nutrition, physical activity, and stress management, informed by continuing medical education completed through Harvard University. Outside of clinical practice, she is passionate about global health initiatives and has volunteered in underserved communities in Ecuador, Peru and Belize.

Kristyna Giancola PA-C, is a highly skilled and trusted Physician Associate specializing in aesthetic medicine and cosmetic injectables. Heather Wasileski, MD

Dr. Heather Wasileski as a board-certified internal medicine physician with more than 20 years of clinical experience. She is also a licensed attorney in New York State. Dr. Wasileski recently founded Wasileski Internal Medicine, a Direct Primary Care practice in Skaneateles, where she provides personalized, relationship-based care. She is a proud mother of three sons, and is delighted to continue serving the Central New York community.

Lauren Vitkus, DDS, MS

Dr. Lauren Vitkus is a Board-Certified orthodontist and founder of Sirius Orthodontics, an all women orthodontic practice with offices around the Syracuse area. She is a native of Skaneateles and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Brown University. After working as an engineer, Dr. Vitkus decided to pursue dental school. She found that the specialty of orthodontics allows her to combine her interest in engineering with her passion for helping people smile! After completing dental school and her orthodontic residency, Dr. Vitkus opened her first office in the Finger Lakes Region. Tracy Bennett, MD
CMO, Ceek Women's Health
Tracy is the Chief Medical Officer at Ceek Women’s Health, where she leads Clinical, Medical, Regulatory, and Quality functions. As the company’s first employee, she played a central role in launching NellaSpec, which was named a TIME Magazine Best Invention of the Year, as well as the Nella Comfort Kit. She brings more than 25 years of experience in women’s health and medical devices, including 17 years at Welch Allyn, with deep expertise in product development, clinical strategy, and commercialization. Tracy is a strong advocate for patient-centered innovation in women’s health and holds degrees in medicine, health science, business, and international studies. Tracy lives in Skaneateles, NY with her husband, Rob. She is the proud mother of three: Aidan, who lives in Santa Monica, CA and works as an Associate Talent Manager at UnderCurrent Talent; Ashton, who lives in Newport Beach, CA and is a founding member of Mach Industries in Huntington Beach, CA; and Torin, who is a sophomore at St. Lawrence University where he plays football. In her free time, Tracy enjoys traveling, spending time with her family on Skaneateles Lake, and playing golf and tennis. She is also actively involved in her local community.

Madison Healey, MD
Founder, St. Joseph's
Physicians Menopause Clinic
Dr. Madison Healey is a board certified family medicine physician currently practicing in Syracuse NY. She has earned an added qualification from the menopause society which denotes her expertise as a menopause specialist. She currently holds a faculty position at St. Joseph's Hospital Family Medicine Residency program where she teaches the next generation of family physicians. In addition, she has also founded and oversees the St. Joseph's Physicians Menopause Clinic in Syracuse NY, where she is able to see perimenopausal and menopausal women, and seeks to optimize their hormonal, physical, and mental health through varied approaches to midlife management.

Emma Holmes
VP, Employee Benefits Consultant
Emma Holmes is a Vice President, Employee Benefits Consultant at USI Insurance Services, where she helps organizations develop innovative benefits strategies that improve employee well-being while managing healthcare costs. Drawing on her background in exercise physiology and passion for population health, Emma works with employers to align benefits, wellness, and data-driven outcomes to create healthier, more engaged workforces. She is particularly focused on helping organizations establish meaningful KPIs that measure the impact of their healthcare, wellness, and employee engagement initiatives, ensuring strategies deliver measurable value. Emma is passionate about advancing conversations around women’s health and helping organizations support employees through every stage of life.

Christine Kowaleski, DNP, FNP, NNP-BC, MHNP-BC
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
I have a long history in working with mothers and babies. I worked as a NNP in Crouse NICU for 25 years and also contributed to their research team and sat on the IRB for 10 years; worked Psychiatry part-time in private practice and per diem Upstate Hospital. As a Postpartum Depression survivor, I became a volunteer for Postpartum Support International (PSI) since 1998,and served as co-chair of the NYS chapter of PSI for the past 6 years. Mixed within my clinical work, I have taught Nursing at both Morrisville State College and Pomeroy College of Nursing at Crouse. I have lectured to many different groups all focused on maternal child. and care for the caregiver. Most recently I developed and oversee the Crouse Family Support Program for families struggling with PPD, Infertility, NICU issues, Loss, and other psychiatric issues. During this time I wrote a booklet for providers titled “Point of Entry to Care for Maternal Mental Health. We know a healthy mom means a healthy baby!

Catherine Bailey, MD, MPH, FACOG
Obstetrician & Gynecologist, Associates for Women’s Medicine
Dr. Catherine Bailey is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Associates for Women’s Medicine who has been proudly serving the medical community of CNY since 2011. Born and raised in the region, Dr. Bailey brings a deeply rooted commitment to local women’s health. She combines advanced clinical expertise with a warm, open approach to care. After completing a Bachelor of Arts degree at the College of the Holy Cross and a Master of Public Health degree at the University of Michigan, Dr. Bailey returned home for her medical education. She completed her medical degree and residency training in Obgyn at SUNY Upstate Medical University. Dr. Bailey provides healthcare to women in all stages of life from adolescents, to women who wish to start or grow a family, to women nearing or in menopause. Her interests include infertility, high-risk obstetrics, minimally invasive Robotic surgery, and menopausal medicine. Dr. Bailey believes that the foundation of excellent medicine is open communication. She takes great pride in having frank, honest, and collaborative conversations with her patients, ensuring they feel empowered and informed about their healthcare decisions. When not at work, Dr. Bailey enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband and two daughters.
