Talk Nutrition to Me: Jaden's Turkey Taco Skillet
Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 15 minutes | Serves: 4

Ingredients
1 tbsp.olive oil
1 bell pepper, diced
1 onion, diced
1 pound lean ground turkey
1 can black beans, drained & rinsed
1 cup salsa
2 cups cooked brown rice
1 low sodium taco seasoning packet
optional toppings: avocado, greek yogurt, cilantro, lime juice
Instructions
Preheat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the oil, onion, and bell pepper. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the veggies begin to soften.
Add the ground turkey and taco seasoning and cook for another 5-7 minutes, breaking up the meat as you cook.
Add the salsa and beans to the pan and stir.
Add in the cooked rice and stir until well combined and heated through.
Serve as is or top with a dollop of greek yogurt, sliced avocado, lime juice and cilantro for added flavor and nutrients!
